I painted this to help raise autism awareness. It is very near and dear to my heart. This art represents the struggles that 1 out of every 68 children in the U.S. diagnosed with autism endure--hence the use of the 68 iconic puzzle pieces that are also in the shape of people.

On the outside, they may look the same as everyone else. But on the inside they are wired different than most. They have a different way of processing everyday life, interacting with other people and viewing the world around them. I used the circuit board made of thread and metal to represent this and to also show the disconnect those with autism experience.
